ACE Basin Recreation

Edisto Island is the easternmost gateway into the large tidal basin area known as the ACE Basin, where the Ashepoo, Combahee, and Edisto Rivers meander on their journey to the Atlantic Ocean. More than 200,000 acres of natural lands are protected in the ACE Basin, and there are numerous parks and wildlife management preserves throughout this area.
