SCDOT Seeks Public Comments
November 02, 2011
The SCDOT is seeking public comments on the construction of the bike and pedestrian lanes from the Colleton County line to Botany Bay road on Edisto Island. They are also asking for public comments on the scenic and creek access pullovers proposed at the Sand Creek, Russell Creek, and Store Creek bridges which are soon to be replaced. Both will be funded with grants from the Federal Highway Administration.
We believe these improvements will directly impact safety along the scenic byway and enhance our visitors experiences. We also believe residents of the island will benefit significantly. These grants were the direct result of local citizens working to improve our community.
Please take a few moments to share your thoughts with SCDOT.
