Graveyard of the Edisto Island Presbyterian Church (est. in late 1860’s)

Description:

This predominantly African-American church once had a sanctuary standing adjacent to this graveyard before the church was destroyed and rebuilt a short distance away. The Graveyard contains a monument to the first pastor and headstones of many black families whose descendents still live on the island.
